I was excited (and floored!) to recently be named one of just 11 local and state-level candidates from around the country to receive an endorsement from Everytown for Gun Safety.
I’m an active member of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, a non-partisan organization seeking common ground on one of our nation’s most important public health crises. I think theirs is an excellent model for how people with very different viewpoints can come together around a common goal. In Moms, responsible firearms owners and folks who’d never touch a gun work together to find ways to curb gun violence and work for common sense laws. Their efficacy is a model for how much we can get done if we’re willing to come together, talk, listen, and seek solutions.
